Professional Wardrobe Inc, (PWI) relies on financial and in-kind donations from a range of supporters, including individuals, foundations, corporations and other organizations. While the outfits we receive are fundamental to our success, we are also in need of funding in order for us to maintain our employment follow-up program.
We are eager to assist individuals who are referred to us. We work hard at enhancing these individuals’ marketability, to facilitate a smooth transition from dependency to self-sufficiency.
Each individual who is referred to PWI is immediately scheduled for an interview appointment, during which, he/she is assessed for his/her literacy level. Depending on the result, he/she is set up with an ESL instructor where he/she is tutored in basic English, reading, and math skills. The second phase of the interview in where the individual is set up to meet with one of our volunteer wardrobe assistants who assists in wardrobe and accessory selection. The third phase is where the individual meets with our Career Counselors who assists in resume review and interviewing technique, in preparation for that big day .
